In Loving memory of the Late Canadian Wrestler, Owen Hart.
On Sunday, May 23 1999, the 33 Year Old Canadian wrestler, Owen Hart, Died at The "Over The Edge" PPV. He was being lowered to the ring by a cable, making a dramatic entrance. But somehow, the cable snapped, and Owen fell 50 feet to his death.
Owen was the youngest of Calgary's famous Hart family.
Our thoughts and prayers go out to Owen's wife Martha, his two children, and the entire Hart family.
Owen was a great performer, he still had a bright future ahead of him. And he loved all of his fans so much.
Owen's Story
Owen Hart started off his career in the Stampede Wrestling Federation, his father's orginization. Vince MacMahon, the owner of the WWF, noticed Owen and quickly brought him over to the WWF, and gave him the gimmick of the Blue Blazer, a Mysterious Masked Wrestler.
But Owen finally lost the mask, became a heel, and has a great series of matches with his brother, Bret "The Hitman" Hart. This was when Owen really became a real Superstar. And at Wrestlemania X, Owen beat bret, and stepped out of his shadow.
From there Owen suceeded even more, winning the 1994 King of The Ring, and won the Tag Team titles 3 times with 3 different partners. He also held the Intercontinental and European Championships as well.
When Bret Hart left the WWF, it allowed Owen to be even more of a star, becoming "The Black Hart".
Owen quickly turned heel again, joining "The Nation", then teaming up with his friend, Jeff Jarret.
But the strange thing is, Owen's Blue Blazer role returned. he died in the ring, wearing a Blue Blazer costume. He began as the Blue Blazer and ended as The Blue Blazer.
Owen was a guy that could make anybody laugh. He was a real prankster. He cared about everybody, and always made sure that everyone had a great day. He loved his family to death. Owen was a real great man, that everyone loved. Everyone was an Owen hart fan, at least I know I was.
